GAUTENG CHAPTER REPORT

From Adele du Rand, Gauteng Chapter President

The last two meetings for the PSASA Gauteng chapter have closed off 2016.  For the October meeting we had 2 presentations:  first, we heard about the reasons and how-to in engaging the millenials in our audiences from Kerry Elbourne & Megan Prescott (Lady Blue Branding & Marketing).  Our second speaker, Andrew Horton, shared insights into building a speaking business where you move away from money-for-time service to value service.   Our last chapter meeting in November, we heard from Yelang Prue Jinka, on how to step up your speaking career with media.

Of course, the year wouldn’t be complete without a final Seat at My Table event – mega style!  A huge thank you to Francois  and Mariana Muscat, who opened their home to us.  If you didn’t attend, you missed out on a lovely evening, great food and wine, and the most incredible dessert, made by Willem Gouws’s wife who is one of the country’s top pattisieres!   Mouth watering!

From my side, I wish you a blessed and happy festive season.  Rest, relax and recharge, as 2017 will bring it’s own set of challenges and opportunities.  And off course, we as the PSASA Gauteng team will be planning another exciting lineup for the year!
