Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are for PSASA members who come together to explore areas of particular interest.  These groups can meet virtually or in person, but the idea is for members to belong to a group over a period of time in order for it to provide the most benefit.

While we are still exploring more opportunities in this area, we do have two groups that are in place. The Book Writing SIG had a meeting in Gauteng early in 2013 and then we experienced an online challenge and the support of a Facebook Group where many members, and a few guests, attempted to write a book in 30 days of July of 2013. That group was very successful with a number of completed manuscripts by the end of the month and some excited members now using their new book for marketing purposes.

The Technology SIG is a virtual meeting place encouraging the use of technology and online communication both in our professions as well as in the marketing of the PSASA activities such as Chapter meetings.

All members of PSASA are welcome to join a SIG, and if you feel inclined to start one around your area of interest, then please contact Jacques de Villiers ([email protected]) to discuss how it might operate and reach members.
